Blood Moon

On the night of May 15th, 2022, the sky bore witness to the awe-inspiring beauty of a blood moon, captured in this stunning image with precision and clarity. The Nikon D7500 camera, partnered with a 200-500mm lens at its maximum focal length, was meticulously set to an exposure time of 1/3rd of a second to preserve the moon’s enigmatic crimson hue against the stark night sky. With an f-stop of 5.6, the camera’s sensor delicately balanced the dim lunar light, rendering a sharp contrast that encapsulates the moon’s transient blush. This photograph is a testament not only to the celestial event but also to the photographer’s journey and growth in the art of astrophotography.
