The Smiling Tree

A tree in the fall, red leaves all around. The tree looks like it has a smiling face because it had previously been trimmed, revealing two eyes.

The Smiling Tree

“The Smiling Tree” whimsically captures the essence of autumn’s joy right in front of Kevin’s home, photographed on the 12th of November, 2019. This Red Maple, with “eyes” and a “smile” formed by the spaces where branches were once attached, seems to be happily greeting passersby. Its resemblance to the animated trees from the timeless classic ‘The Wizard of Oz’ adds a touch of storybook magic to the scene. Blanketing the ground with a vibrant tapestry of red leaves, the tree stands as a cheerful sentinel on this pretty fall day, its foliage a fiery celebration of the season’s splendor. It’s a charming example of nature’s serendipitous artistry, bringing a sense of wonder and delight to the everyday.
